PRO BONO & COMMUNITY SERVICE
|
A group of Gowlings professionals reached out to contacts in the business community with a unique challenge. They were asked to help enhance the lives of children in Central America and in Québec with a commitment of hard work and financial support for the Fondation du Dr Julien.
The Volcano Project 2010 team comprised of five legal professionals and seven business leaders will donate $30,000 to the foundation, in addition to providing building materials and three-days work (painting, plastering, etc.) to a children's school in Antigua Guatemala.
Next, the team will face the second part of the challenge: a 3020-metre climb of San Pedro Volcano.
From Friday, August 20 to Friday, August 28 you are invited to share this incredible experience by following the participants on Gowlings' Twitter account, via our dedicated Volcano Project 2010 Photostream and by subscribing to our daily e-newsletter.
