Patrick Burgess, a partner in Gowlings’ Calgary office, has over 25 years of experience in the oil and energy sector. Most recently, Burgess was recognized at this year’s Canadian Dealmakers Awards Gala in Toronto, where he was singled out for his role as the lead partner in Gowlings’ relationship with Crescent Point Energy Corp, in which he assisted Crescent Point with more than $2.4 billion in transactions in 2009.
Nominees for the 50 Most Influential People are selected by Alberta Venture Magazine’s editorial committee based on recommendations by members of Alberta’s business community. The list, first published in 1997, is comprised of individuals who through their professional and personal accomplishments have left a notable impression on Alberta’s political, economic, intellectual or cultural landscape.
