Don McCutchan, an international policy adviser with Gowlings’ Toronto office who previously worked for the federal government, speaks to the Financial Post about the growing importance of government relations in today’s mining industry. In his role, McCuthan advises companies, particularly in the energy and mining industries, and views his work as that of a translator. “The geologists speak one language and it’s not called bureaucratese.
