Thomson Reuters has released its Mergers & Acquisitions Review: Legal Advisors – First Nine Months 2012. The results once again confirm Gowlings’ position as Canada’s busiest M&A law firm in 2012.
Thomson Reuters ranked Gowlings as the leading Canadian law firm for the number of worldwide M&A deals in the first nine months of 2012, with advisory roles in 124 announced deals (for a 12th place ranking among all law firms globally) and 115 completed deals (13th place among all law firms).
Gowlings also held top position for Canadian M&A transactions completed in the first three quarters, with credit for 107 deals.
Gowlings continued its high level of M&A activity, despite the fact that worldwide M&A was down 14% from the same period last year.
