(Disponible en anglais seulement) Alexander Sobolev is a registered patent attorney in Gowlings' Moscow office.
Alexander has extensive experience in patent drafting and prosecution in the fields of pharma, biotech, medicine and organic chemistry before the Russian and Eurasian Patent Offices and in the former Soviet Republics. He has been involved in the preparation of patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions for a global leading generic drug manufacturer. Furthermore, he has acted as a counsel in the proceedings before the Chamber for Patent Disputes.
Prior to joining Gowlings, Sobolev worked as a senior specialist with one of the leading IP rights protection firms in Russia.
Over his 25-year career, Sobolev has invented/authored several of his own patents. He has written extensively in the life sciences field in both Russian and English languages.
