Brent J. Arnold is a senior associate practising in Gowlings’ advocacy department, specializing in commercial litigation.

Brent's experience to date includes construction, administrative and insolvency law, creditors’ rights and recovery, shareholder disputes, class actions, employment contracts, insurance and general contractual disputes.

He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario including the Court of Appeal, and has appeared before the Licence Appeal Tribunal and the Ontario Municipal Board.

In 2011, Brent appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada in support of the federal government’s constitutional reference regarding a Canadian Securities Act.

Prior to commencing legal studies, Brent worked in the biotechnology sector and managed finances for a university medical research laboratory. Brent was co-founder and contributing editor for a commercial website for secondary school teachers.
