Carmelita "Melle" Rivera is a law clerk in Gowlings' Toronto office, working in the Corporate Finance and M&A National Practice Group. She has 19 years of experience as a law clerk in these practice areas.

Melle’s experience includes assisting in transactions of public and private distributions, mutual funds and take-over bids; registration under the Canadian provincial and territorial securities legislations; and preparation of exemptive relief applications and continuous disclosure documents. Melle is proficient in the use of SEDAR, SEDI, NRD, BCSC E-Services and the TSX SecureFile systems.

Prior to joining Gowlings, Melle worked at the Ontario Securities Commission Capital Markets Branch and gained experience with other major law firms in the city.
