Christopher Bardsley is a partner in Gowlings' Toronto office, practising in the areas of corporate/commercial and securities law, with a focus on corporate finance, lending, and mergers and acquisitions.

Christopher's corporate finance and commercial practice involves acting for financial institutions and corporate borrowers with respect to secured and unsecured loans and in work-out transactions. His work in mergers and acquisitions involves acquisition and securities transactions affecting companies in all major industry groups. He also serves as corporate counsel for corporations in a diverse range of industries.

In addition to his law practice, Christopher has been active in Firm management, having served for four years as a member of the Executive Committee of Smith Lyons, which merged with Gowlings in 2001; and, since 2002, as chair of Gowlings' National Audit Committee.
