Dan Chapman is an associate in Gowlings’ Toronto office, practising in the Real Estate and Urban Development Group. His practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions and leasing.

Dan’s real estate experience includes: advising construction firms on builders’ lien issues; advising major landlords on portfolio acquisitions through lease reviews; and advising corporate clients on construction contract issues.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Dan worked as a commercial leasing representative for a tenant-representative firm for four years in Toronto and was involved primarily in negotiating leases for retail, office and industrial users of space. 

Dan is conversationally fluent in both French and Russian.
