David has extensive experience in a variety of commercial matters, including class actions, contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, and product liability claims.

A significant portion of David's practice involves advising and acting on behalf of pharmaceutical clients, including handling various class action, regulatory and general matters within Ontario and across Canada. He also acts for a number of technology companies, handling contractual and tort claims in the technology field.

David has appeared at all levels of courts in Ontario and British Columbia as well as the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has also appeared as counsel in numerous arbitrations and mediations and represented clients before a variety of regulatory bodies.

Prior to joining Gowlings, David practised at a large Vancouver firm. He has also acted as a prosecutor for both criminal and regulatory claims on behalf of the Federal Department of Justice.
