Deborah Banwell is a law clerk in Gowlings' Ottawa office, working in the business law department, specializing in all aspects of estate law and guardianship matters.

Deborah has been a member of Gowlings' Ottawa estate and trust practice since 1988 and has extensive experience in the preparation of documentation related to the administration of testate and intestate estates; passings of accounts (on consent and contested); litigation of estate-related issues, including claims under the Succession Law Reform Act, applications to interpret Wills and to determine the validity of Wills and removal of executors/trustees; and court appointment of guardians under the Substitute Decisions Act
