Jaimie Lickers is currently on maternity leave.

Jaimie Lickers is an associate in Gowlings' Ottawa office. A member of the advocacy department, her practice focuses primarily in the area of Aboriginal law.

Jaimie has experience dealing with land claim negotiations, Aboriginal self-government, First Nation taxation matters, Aboriginal consultation issues, and Aboriginal litigation. She worked on the Ipperwash Inquiry as a researcher and liaison and has experience dealing with Aboriginal individuals and organizations. Jaimie also has oral advocacy experience and has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Tax Court of Canada and the Ontario Court of Appeal.  Jaimie regularly presents at conferences on topics related to Aboriginal litigation, consultation and accommodation, First Nations taxation, and First Nation trusts.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Jaimie worked for the Chiefs of Ontario and the Aboriginal Institutes' Consortium.
