(Disponible en anglais seulement) Janis Cain is a senior law clerk in Gowlings’ Hamilton office . Janis has extensive experience in corporate matters and provides assistance to lawyers within the Business Law Group relating to incorporations, amalgamations, amendments, continuances, dissolutions, revivals and extra-provincial registrations. She has assisted on transactions involving routine and complex corporate reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions.
Janis conducts due diligence reviews of minute books and prepares reports on deficiencies as well as preparing all delinquent resolutions and filings. She also handles the annual maintenance of corporate clients’ minute books and filings.
Janis also provides electronic search services to the Hamilton office professionals including corporate, PPSA, Bankruptcy/Insolvency, Bank Act, Execution, property and litigation searches. She also prepares and files security registrations pursuant to the Personal Property Security Act legislation.
Prior to joining Gowlings, Janis worked as a law clerk in the Law Department of Westinghouse Canada Inc. along side Gary Graham, the founding partner of the Gowlings’ Hamilton Office.
