Jason R. McMurtrie is a senior transactional law clerk in Gowlings’ Toronto office, working in the area of financial services.

Jason’s practice consists of a broad range of financial related products primarily focused on asset-based lending, syndicated lending, senior and subordinated debt financing, cross-border lending and debt restructuring. He has extensive experience in assisting both lenders and borrowers in a variety of debt financing arrangements and is often retained to act in connection with multi-jurisdictional financing transactions.

Prior to joining Gowlings, Jason was a senior transactional law clerk in the Toronto office of another major Canadian law firm.

Jason is a member of the Seneca College Law Clerk Advisory Committee and has assisted in their law clerk field placement programs.
