Jenny Chu Steinberg is a partner in Gowlings’ Toronto office, practising in the areas of securities and corporate law, with emphasis on corporate finance, public and private company mergers & acquisitions and private equity.

In the area of corporate finance, Jenny has acted as lead counsel for corporations and business trusts as well as underwriters in initial public offerings, bought deals, private placements and cross-border offerings. In the mergers and acquisitions area, Jenny has advised parties to merger transactions, special committees and significant shareholders. In the area of private equity, she has acted for numerous private equity investors. Jenny also regularly advises public companies on continuous disclosure and corporate governance matters, and investment dealers on compliance issues.

Jenny was a member of the Securities Advisory Committee of the Ontario Securities Commission from November 2008 to December 2010.
