Joe Thorne is an associate in Gowlings’ Toronto office, practising in the advocacy department with a focus on commercial litigation.

Joe summered and articled at Gowlings. During his articles, Joe was seconded to one of Canada’s largest banks.

While pursuing his law degree, Joe was involved with the school’s Community Legal Services, and also assisted with Orientation for incoming students. Prior to attending law school, Joe worked in a research lab at an American university, focusing on treatments for drug addiction.

Joe has appeared before the Federal Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
