Karin is a registered trade-mark agent in Gowlings’ Vancouver office, practising exclusively in the area of trade-marks. Karin handles all aspects of trade-mark prosecution in Canada, including assessing the registrability of trade-marks, the filing and processing of applications to register trade-marks, and trade-mark opposition and expungement proceedings.

Karin regularly collaborates with counsel in the United States and in other foreign jurisdictions to co-ordinate trade-mark protection for clients in Canada and internationally.

Prior to joining Gowlings, Karin worked for several years in the intellectual property field (patents and trade-marks) in Switzerland as well as in Canada.

Karin is fluent in English and German.
