Manuel is a partner in the Business Law department of Gowlings’ Waterloo Region, practising in the area of corporate and commercial law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, financings and asset and share transactions.

Manuel has assisted clients in cross-border transactions in various jurisdictions including the U.K., U.S., Mexico and China.

He is actively involved in the preparation and negotiation of complex and unique commercial agreements.

As the Waterloo Office Leader of the Real Estate National Practice Group, Manuel also practises real estate law, with an emphasis on purchase, sale and financing transactions. He is the editor of the Real Estate & Urban Development @ Gowlings national newsletter.

Additionally, as a member of the firm’s Financial Services Industry Group, Manuel acts for lenders and borrowers in the financial services area, with an emphasis on commercial financings and secured transactions.
