Mark practises in electrical and mechanical patent and industrial design prosecution with an emphasis on originating patent drafting and strategic advice for Canadian high technology, electronics and telecommunications companies.
As a member of Gowlings’ High Technology Patent Group, Mark has experience in a wide range of technologies, including telecommunications, Internet technologies, wireless access and infrastructure, optics, database management systems, network architecture, computer software and hardware.
Prior to becoming a patent agent, he worked as an electrical engineer for 8 years in high technology companies. Mark’s range of professional engineering experience includes advanced silicon solutions including SiGe-based, IF modulators and demodulators, CMOS digital modems, wireless network terminals, wireless network design and deployment, and mobile satellite network infrastructure.
Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, and a registered patent agent in both Canada and the United States.
