Melanie Giroux is a project lawyer in Gowlings’ Toronto office, practising in the Advocacy Group.

Melanie's practice focuses on litigation management with an emphasis on records management and e-discovery including but not limited to document identification, analysis, collection and the preservation of documents relevant to litigation on complex files.

Prior to joining Gowlings, Melanie worked as an associate at a boutique litigation firm. Specializing in insurance defense litigation, her practice included coverage disputes, product liability claims and personal injury litigation. Melanie has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

During law school, Melanie acted as an assistant editor for the Ottawa Law Review and subsequently spent her final year in law school as the articles editor of the Ottawa Law Review.

Melanie is fluent in French and English.
