(Disponible en anglais seulement) Nancy Deng is a patent agent trainee in Gowlings’ Ottawa office. As a patent specialist, Nancy's practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications relating to telecommunications, electronics, semiconductor devices, and computer-related inventions. She is currently working towards her Canadian patent agent qualification.
Prior to joining Gowlings, Nancy worked in a leading intellectual property law firm in Japan for three years prosecuting patents in a wide range of jurisdictions, primarily before the U.S., Japanese, European, Chinese, and Korean patent offices. She also assisted and prevailed for the clients in a number of contentious prosecution and litigation matters, including oppositions, invalidations, and infringement actions.
Nancy is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin).
