Neil McCormick is an associate in Gowlings' Ottawa office practising in the Business Law Group.

Neil's practice focuses on corporate and commercial commercial law with an emphasis on telecommunications and technology matters. He has experience drafting a variety of agreements and commercial documents, including service agreements, outsourcing agreements, software agreements and requests for proposals.

Neil spent 2011 seconded to the legal department of a national telecommunications company where, in addition to commercial law matters, he gained exposure to regulatory issues and was involved with proceedings before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission and the Copyright Board of Canada.

Neil also has experience in contentious and non-contentious environmental matters. In addition, he is interested in energy law and has written a number of articles on that topic.
