(Disponible en anglais seulement) Olivia Colic is a partner in Gowlings’ Calgary office, practising in the area of commercial real estate with an emphasis on all issues related to the management and operation of commercial properties, including sale, purchase, development, finance and leasing. She represents commercial property vendors and purchasers, lenders and borrowers, landlords, managers and tenants on the multifaceted contractual, operation and financial issues they face throughout Canada.
Olivia has represented a number of clients in the acquisition and/or leasing of commercial properties for free-standing or street locations, or as part of shopping centres or industrial and office complexes; she also acts for property owners and landlords in leasing matters related to downtown office portfolios.
Olivia has handled many commercial property financings ranging from single property loans to large financings involving complex ownership structures and multiple properties across Canada. Olivia regularly negotiates on behalf of various parties in acquisition and sale transactions, development, leasing, easement and other commercial agreements for properties of all sizes and uses, from raw land or stand-alone single-use properties to multi-use projects.
She also has significant experience advising clients in the telecommunications, pipeline and electric energy sectors, and is consulted in connection with real estate related issues faced by some of the major players in the industry.
