Paul Harricks is a partner in Gowlings' Toronto office. He is chair of the Energy, Infrastructure and Mining Industry Group.

Paul has a primarily transactions-based practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (in a variety of sectors), energy and infrastructure, project development and finance, consumer finance and cards and corporate finance. He acts for a wide range of Canadian and foreign corporations, investment dealers, banks and financial institutions.

Paul is:

• a member of the Corporate Law Subcommittee of the Ontario Bar Association, the mandate of which is to advise on legislative initiatives and reform in the area of corporate law; and
• a member of the Economic Development Committee of the Toronto Board of Trade.

Paul joined Smith Lyons, Gowlings’ predecessor firm, in 1978 as an articling student and has practised with the firm ever since. He became a partner in 1986.
