Rhowan Sivel manages national marketing and business development initiatives for the Life Sciences Group and Government Affairs Group from Gowlings' Ottawa office.

Rhowan has extensive experience in Canada’s biotechnology industry having previously served as the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications for BIOTECanada, the national biotechnology industry association.  Her expertise includes project and event management, strategic planning, client relations, internal and external communications, and business development.  She also currently manages Gowlings' Biotech Essay Contest for which a graduating high school student can win up to $5,000 toward tuition to a Canadian post secondary institution in a life sciences-related field. Rhowan was a contributing writer and editor of BIOTECanada’s insights magazine for over five years.
