Richard Dusome is a partner in Gowlings' Toronto office, practising in banking and financial services with an emphasis on secured transactions, credit agreements and loan restructurings.

During his years of practice, Richard has been extensively involved in several domestic and international, secured and unsecured financings and loan syndication transactions. He acts for both lenders and borrowers, and represents financial institutions and non-institutional lenders. Richard has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of financing opinions and complex inter-creditor agreements, subordination agreements and forbearance arrangements.

Richard is the executive editor of the Fully Secured@Gowlings newsletter for the Firm's financial services clients. He is a frequent speaker in Gowlings' internal continuing legal education program and extensively involved in our associate training program. Richard is also a member of the Opinions Committee in the Toronto office, and acts as an associate mentor.
