(Disponible en anglais seulement) Shahrzad Esmaili is a registered Canadian and US patent agent in the Intellectual Property Group of the Toronto office where she specializes in the area of patent prosecution.
Shahrzad has drafted and prosecuted patent applications relating to computer hardware and software, electronics, communication systems, signal processing systems, biomedical devices, mechanical devices and consumer products. Her area of specialization includes communication systems, signal processing, cryptography and computer networks.
Shahrzad's Masters research focused on content-based audio watermarking and retrieval, resulting in several awards within the CCECE, ICASSP, and Micronet conferences. During her graduate studies, Shahrzad was awarded various honours including the NSERC Post Graduate Scholarship and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for high academic standing.
Prior to entering the patent field, Shahrzad's professional experience included developing optical network solutions for clients of a large telecommunications firm.
