Steven Willard is a partner in Gowlings' Toronto office, practising commercial real estate, with a special emphasis on the purchase and sale of commercial and industrial properties, financings for both lenders and borrowers, and commercial leasing, acting for both landlords and tenants. He also specializes in mining lands and riparian law. Steven has been certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Real Estate Law.

Steven has acted on the purchase, sale and financing of properties across Canada and the United States.

At the age of 18, Steven was elected as a councillor of the Township of Amherst Island. Three years later he became reeve, making him the youngest elected head of a government in the history of Canada. He was subsequently elected warden of the United Counties of Lennox and Addington.
