(Disponible en anglais seulement) Susan Burkhardt is a law clerk in the Gowlings' Ottawa office, working in the Intellectual Property Department.
Susan has over 25 years experience as a law clerk in the field of intellectual property. She has extensive experience in managing complex litigation matters with a focus on actions before the Federal Courts, including managing large cases with the use of litigation support software.
Susan has extensive knowledge in administering clients’ trade-mark portfolios as well as conducting investigations and gathering evidence for trade-mark opposition matters before the Canadian Trade-marks Office. She has an understanding of the requirements for having documents legalized at various embassies for clients who are filing documents around the world.
Prior to joining Gowlings, Susan worked in the legal departments of two high profile hi-technology firms in the Ottawa area in the field of litigation and corporate/commercial.
