Mr. Rivest also practises in advertising law. He reviews and pre-approves advertisements for print media, radio, television and the Internet. In this regard, Mr. Rivest advises national and international corporations with respect to their obligations in terms of advertising and marketing in Québec.

Mr. Rivest has acted in numerous contractual matters and in matters of enforcement of security on real estate or moveable property. He has appeared before aIl level of courts in Québec as well as a number of administrative tribunals.

A leader in his field, Mr. Rivest is recognized in the 2008 edition of The Best Lawyers in Canada. Mr. Rivest speaks at conferences and publishes articles on a regular basis. He has taught commercial law at the Faculty of Management at McGill University and bankruptcy and insolvency at the Bar admission courses.

Mr. Rivest practises in French and English. He is also fluent in German.
