Andree Taylor is an associate in Gowlings' Ottawa office.
Andree graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. While a law student and during her undergraduate and graduate studies, she was the recipient of numerous awards for her achievements in health research and law.
During law school, Andree worked at Gowlings as a summer law student in the Advocacy Department and the Intellectual Property Department. Andree has extensive experience in the health law field. She was a research assistant for ProBono Law Ontario where she assisted in the development of the Family-Legal Health Program (medical-legal partnership) at SickKids Hospital.
Andree also worked as a research assistant for two health law professors in the Faculty of Law on projects involving questions of medication access across provincial drug formularies and legal remedies to address insurance coverage gaps, as well as questions of tort liability during public health crises such as SARS.
Prior to law school, Andree worked as a research coordinator for a health professionals’ regulatory body where she developed and evaluated practice assessment tools. She also worked as a research coordinator at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. Andree has contributed or written an article in the Journal of Complementary and Integrative Medicine, Canadian Pharmacists Journal and Home and Community Care Digest.
