Andrew Oppenheim practises in the areas of corporate commercial law with an emphasis in debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases and sales, and commercial real estate acquisition, disposition and financing. In addition he has experience in advising clients in work-outs and restructurings.
Andrew completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Directors Education Program in January 2008 and is an Institute of Corporate Directors, Institute Certified Director ICD.D (April 2008). He is currently a director of a number of corporations, both public and private.
Andrew has served in multiple leadership positions at Gowlings. First, as the managing partner of the Calgary office from 2002 to 2006, then as the managing partner of the London, U.K. office from 2008 to 2012. In addition, he served as a member of the firm’s board from 2011 to 2014.
