Ash's practice focuses on various areas of domestic and international taxation, including the structuring and implementing of public market debt and equity financing transactions, planning and structuring project finance / securitization transactions, structuring Canada-U.S. and Canada-U.K. lending arrangements and planning, structuring and implementing tax-driven reorganizations of private and public corporations.

Ash has also provided advice to both public and private corporations with respect to various aspects of executive and employee compensation, including stock option plans, phantom stock plans, employee benefit plans and deferred profit sharing plans.
