Benoit Yelle is a registered patent agent in Canada and the United States, practising in Gowlings' Montréal office. He joined the Intellectual Property team in 2011. Benoit's practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting applications relating to computer, network, telecommunications and mechanical related inventions. 

Benoit has more than nine years of experience in a large telecommunications company as patent engineer and patent agent. He has been exposed to the high-tech telecommunication sector with particular focus on quality of service innovations, mobile Internet standards and router technologies. His main tasks included patentability and business case assessment of invention disclosures, patent drafting and prosecution (U.S., Canada, PCT), and patent portfolio management.
