Bruce Dawe is a partner with the Advocacy Group of Gowlings Waterloo Region, practising predominantly in the areas of insolvency, insurance defence and general commercial and corporate litigation. He serves a broad base of clients in insolvency matters, including financial institutions, banks, trust companies and other lending institutions, as well as individuals and corporate clients.

In insurance litigation cases, Bruce acts primarily for insurance companies in liability defence and first party work, but also acts for plaintiffs in personal injury suits and handles other insurance litigation issues.

Bruce spent more than four years in Toronto practising in the insurance defence field before joining Gowlings as an associate in 1987 and being made a partner in 1990.

Bruce is an advocate in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Bankruptcy and the Appeal Courts.
