Carine Taza is an associate in Gowlings' Montréal office. Carine practises within the business law group with a developing emphasis on infrastructure (public-private partnerships), corporate law, project finance and mergers and acquisitions.
Carine is a member of the Pro-Bono Committee of the Montréal office. She practises law in English and French and speaks Spanish, German, Arabic and Armenian.
- Drafting and review of project documentation on behalf of successful proponent for the design, construction, financing, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation for the Autoroute 30 PPP Project in Montréal, Québec.
- Legal risk analysis and review project documentation on behalf of lenders to design, build, finance, maintain and perform life cycle rehabilitation on the RCMP E‑Division Headquarters PPP Project in Surrey, British Columbia.
- Negotiation of construction contract and related documentation, review of project documentation on behalf of the construction joint venture for the design, build, financing and maintenance of the new CHUM PPP complex (Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal).
- Legal risk analysis, review and drafting of project documentation on behalf of the lenders to successful proponent for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the South Fraser Perimeter Road PPP Project in British Columbia.
- Acting on behalf of proponent for the design, construction and finance for the Route 1 Gateway Project in New Brunswick.
- Legal risk analysis, review and drafting of project documents on behalf of the Subordinated lenders to successful proponent to design, build, finance and maintain the Windsor-Essex Parkway PPP Project in Ontario.
- Loan Guarantee by Investissement Québec for the financing of the restructuring of Abitibi-Consolidated Inc.
