He is, among other activities, acting in negotiations of commercial agreements, franchising, projects financing, immovable transactions, leasing agreements, sales and acquisitions of enterprises, incorporations of companies, shareholders agreements, joint-venture agreements and construction agreements. He acted as main counsel for the Government of Québec in many files of privatization and investment in private enterprises.

Mr. Melançon was an invited teacher in construction law at École de Technologie Supérieure (E.T.S.) of Québec University in Montréal, guest speaker in immovable law and speaker at various conferences in construction law for associations such as the Canadian Institute and Insight. Mr. Melançon has also written on immovable and construction matters.
