Ed Van Bemmel is a law clerk in Gowlings' Ottawa office. He practises most extensively in matters relating to Supreme Court of Canada and Federal Court practice and procedure.
For more than 40 years, Ed has assisted lawyers from coast to coast in government and private practice to perfect their appeals to the Supreme Court of Canada. He also assists in the preparation of Applications for Leave to Appeal and various interlocutory motions.
Ed provides general agency services including matters before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, various federal boards, commissions and tribunals, and the departments and agencies of the Government of Canada in Ottawa.
Ed is a contributor to the text published by Carswell, entitled Supreme Court of Practice, authored by Crane and Brown of Gowlings. He is also involved with the Supreme Court of Canada’s e-filing project. |
