OUR PEOPLE

Élisabeth Wellman-Desbiens is a member of the Intellectual Property Group in Gowlings’ Montréal office.  She practises in the area of patent drafting and prosecution, with particular emphasis on microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry and broadly related fields. She is working towards her Canadian patent agent qualification.

Élizabeth’s PhD thesis focused on the screening of new pesticidal properties related to Bacillus thuringiensis. She conducted her MSc and PhD research work at Horticulture Research and Development Centre of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

She practises in English and French.
