OUR PEOPLE

Emmanuel Manolakis is a lawyer and a registered Canadian patent agent in Gowlings’ Montréal office, practising in the area of intellectual property. His patent practice is focused in the pharmaceutical, electronics and chemical engineering fields.

Emmanuel offers his clients advice on both local and international strategy and management of IP portfolios. He has particular knowledge in the area of biomass conversion to liquid and gaseous fuels from his work experience in industry (Agriculture Canada). He was also a member of interdepartmental committees under the National Energy Program. He has co-authored a number of scientific and engineering articles relating to biotechnology and alternative fuels.

He is fluent in English, French and Greek.
