Faithe Holder is a partner practising in the Real Estate, Environmental and Urban Development Group in Gowlings’ Toronto office.
Faithe focuses her practice on real estate and construction law, with expertise in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties; the development of commercial real estate; real estate financing and drafting; and negotiating and reviewing a variety of agreements, including agreements of purchase and sale, construction contracts, project management agreements, service agreements, public-private partnership agreements, tenders and requests for proposals.
Faithe acts for a wide range of companies in the real property, construction and infrastructure sectors, including owners, borrowers, contractors, real estate developers, property managers, facility managers and governmental entities.
In addition to her practice at Gowlings, Faithe also enjoyed a tenure as legal counsel with the crown corporation that manages one of Canada’s largest real estate portfolios on behalf of the government of Ontario. As a key member of the corporation’s legal services department, Faithe advised on corporate, commercial, real estate and complex litigation matters; negotiated and drafted various service agreements and public procurement documents; assisted with the creation and implementation of various public policy and legislative initiatives; and provided strategic legal advice and opinions regarding public procurement, construction, leasing and freedom of information issues.
