Filomena Frisina is a partner in Gowlings’ Toronto office, practising in the area of business law.
Filomena has close to 25 years of experience advising domestic and multinational businesses in corporate and commercial legal matters in connection with their mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and business transactions of all types. Her clients come from diverse industry sectors, including financial services, telecommunications, automotive, energy, retail, food services and distribution, health care and real estate development. Filomena also enjoys working with international clients, with an interest in developing business in or with Canada or with Canadians who aim to develop their business internationally.
Filomena advises insurance companies and insurance intermediaries on corporate transaction, governance and regulatory matters. She is the Toronto Leader of the Gowlings Commercial Insurance Group.
Filomena is a Client Relationship Leader for a number of multinational clients with operations primarily in Canada, the United States and Europe. She has previously served as a board member on a public company and numerous private company boards, and currently is a director and member of the audit and conduct review committees of Travelers Guarantee Company of Canada.
