OUR PEOPLE

Mr. Lanctôt began his career in private practice in the area of litigation. Thereafter, he acted as in-house counsel for an integrated oil company and as general counsel to a Crown Corporation. Back to private practice in 1981, Mr. Lanctôt acted, among other activities, for corporate issuers and investment dealer firms in respect to public and private offerings of equity, debt and tax shelters in Canada, assisted in the privatization of a provincial Crown Corporation and project financings; advised interested parties in take-over bids and plans of arrangement and assisted clients in acquisitions or sales of businesses, as well as advised on joint venture agreements for the resources industry.

In March 2007, Mr. Lanctôt was appointed lay member of the Competition Tribunal.
