Ms. Boisvert joined Gowlings’ Montréal Office as a partner in March 2004. Leader of Gowlings Montréal's advocacy department, she is also a member of Montréal's Management Committee. As a senior commercial and civil litigator, she represents significant international and national companies with respect to complex disputes of different nature, and also provides her clients with strategic advice regarding litigation risk and litigation strategy.
Ms. Boisvert has extensive experience in class actions as she has acted and currently acts as defense counsel for domestic and international clients in matters involving complex product liability, consumer law, and alleged price fixing claims.
She also practises in commercial litigation, with a specific focus in complex corporate and contractual disputes of all kinds, including franchising matters and manufacturing and distribution issues. She has also been involved, on many occasions, in real estate litigation, extraordinary recourses such as injunctions, as well as in matters of libel and slander and media law.
Her practice has brought her to plead before Federal and Provincial Courts of law, as well as administrative tribunals. As a senior litigator, she also has extensive experience in representing clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
She was recently named among the top 10 of business litigation’s best women lawyers in Québec by Le Monde Juridique. Ms. Boisvert was also appointed, from 2000 to 2006, member of the Board of Directors of the Comité de formation professionnelle du Barreau du Québec, the Committee responsible for the Québec Bar School.
