Katerina Kouretas is an associate in Gowlings’ Ottawa office and practising in the Business Law Group. Her practice focuses on general commercial transactions, with a focus on technology transactions, telecommunications work, and privacy law.
Katerina has recently completed her second secondment with a major telecommunications company, where she held the role of senior counsel responsible for revenue deals for business customers. In this role, Katerina drafted and negotiated complex technology service agreements, as well as representing the company in the negotiation of supplier agreements, including resale and distribution agreements, various partner agreements for value added services, maintenance and support agreements, outsourcing agreements, confidentiality and professional services agreements.
Katerina obtained her CIPP/C (Certified Information Privacy Professional) designation with the International Association of Privacy Professionals in 2010, and is currently the co-chair of the Ottawa chapter of the IAPP Knowledgenet privacy series. She provides clients with advice on how to comply with Canada’s privacy laws and contractual obligations and assists with developing and reviewing privacy policies.
Katerina is fluent in English, French and Greek.
