Kyle Magee is an associate in the advocacy department of Gowlings' Toronto office. Kyle's practice has a particular emphasis on corporate commercial litigation and arbitration. His experience includes litigating shareholder and commercial contract disputes, as well as defending negligence claims.
Kyle has represented clients before all levels of Ontario Court, including the Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, as well as a number of administrative tribunals. Kyle has a particular interest in commercial arbitration and his experience to date includes a number of commercial arbitrations involving international parties.
Kyle regularly participates as pro bono counsel in Toronto's small claims court and is a member of a Gowlings' project team that monitors new developments in banking litigation and provides analysis on trend in banking regulation, consumer protections and class action suits in Canada and the United States.
While completing his law degree at Queen's, Kyle was extensively involved in Queen's Legal Aid, providing legal services to the local community. He assisted numerous clients in resolving criminal and civil matters.
