OUR PEOPLE

Laura Gheorghiu is an associate in Gowlings Montréal office, practising primarily in the area of taxation.

During her studies, Laura was a law clerk to a Québec Superior Court judge. Laura won the Stikeman/Elliott/Carswell National Tax scholarship for the highest grades in tax law. She also won the New Brunswick Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal in recognition of her first place in the program. With regard to her Master’s degree in tax law, she won the PSB Boisjoli’s merit scholarship, as well as the Graduate Studies Diplomas Board’s merit scholarship. She also spent a term studying at ESCEM in France.

She joined Gowlings in 2009 after articling with the Firm.

Laura practises in English and French. She is also fluent in Romanian.
