Laura advises clients on matters involving individual and group terminations, employment contracts, mergers and acquisitions, human rights issues, employment standards matters, workers compensation, occupational health and safety and other employment and labour issues.

Laura routinely advocates for her clients at all levels of court in Alberta as well as administrative tribunals including the federal and provincial Human Rights Commissions and federal and provincial employment standards tribunals. Laura has also conducted numerous private and judicial mediations and several arbitrations.

Laura represents a variety of employers in both the federal and provincial sectors, including those in agriculture, oil and gas, manufacturing, transportation, banking, information technology, home building, retail and professional services. She focuses not only on advising clients regarding their legal rights and obligations, but also on working cooperatively with them to find appropriate and practical business solutions to their employment issues.
