OUR PEOPLE

Laura Monteith is an associate in the Toronto Tax Group, practising in the areas of corporate tax planning, tax dispute resolution, succession planning, estates and executive compensation.

Laura's practice focuses on various areas of international and domestic tax planning, including corporate reorganizations and assisting companies with establishing operations in Canada. She also has experience with planning and structuring investments in renewable energy projects and assisting clients with issues concerning the "payments in-lieu of taxes" regime under the Electricity Act, 1998.

Laura has experience representing taxpayers in their dealings with the CRA, including tax objections and appeals, and has appeared before the Tax Court of Canada.

Laura has completed Part I and II of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants In-Depth Tax Course.
