Luda Monczak

Luda Monczak is a student-at-law in Gowlings' Ottawa office. She also previously worked at Gowlings as a summer student in the intellectual property in 2009 and 2010.

Prior to entering the English common law program at the University of Ottawa, Luda graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Chemical Engineering, which she completed in French. Luda conducted laboratory research on adsorptive separation of acetylene from air on zeolites.

While attending law school, Luda worked as a teaching assistant at the department of mathematics and statistics, where she led discussion groups for calculus and linear algebra undergraduate courses. She has also worked as a research assistant at the faculty of law, researching the application of s.15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms to cases involving medical treatment issues. In her final year of legal studies, Luda worked as a legal intern at the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, where she researched domain name implementation practices.

Luda is fluent in Ukrainian, French and English.
